Welding method of LED lamp beads

5730灯板There are many welding methods for LED lamp beads on the chip, and the following is one of the commonly used methods for reference. First, use an electric soldering iron to heat some soldering tin on the positive and negative electrode pads of the lamp bead (the soldering tin must not be too much, otherwise, the positive and negative electrode pads will be connected once heated with a hot-air gun), then use a hot-air gun to heat the positive and negative electrode pads at the same time, after the tin melts, use tweezers to place the positive and negative electrodes of the lamp bead on the corresponding pad.
The operation shall be fast and accurate, otherwise, the hot air gun will melt the LED plastic package and damage it.
In the absence of hot air gun, different welding methods can be used according to the structure of LED lamp beads and the substrate used. The LED lamp bead pins of the patch are semi plastic sealed, that is, a small part of the pins are exposed on both sides of the lamp bead, such as the commonly used 5730, 7020, 4014, etc; There are also fully plastic encapsulated, that is, the positive and negative poles of the lamp beads are all at the bottom of the chip, such as 3030. It is also easy to weld semi plastic encapsulated lamp beads, such as the 7020. Before welding, a little tin should be hot on the bonding pad (the pin of the lamp bead should not be hot), the positive and negative poles of the lamp bead should be placed on the bonding pad with tweezers on both sides, the lamp bead should be pressed with a finger or a small screwdriver, and the exposed electrode should be heated quickly with an electric soldering iron, At the same time, press down with appropriate force on the finger (the soldering iron cannot be rubbed back and forth during heating, and the pressure on the finger should not be too high, otherwise the lamp bead will be damaged).

For fully plastic sealed lamp beads (such as 3030), if the lamp strip substrate is an ordinary circuit board, first scrape the paint around the lamp bead pad with a blade to expose the copper wire, then heat a little tin on the pad, first solder the large electrode of the pad, and then place the electric soldering iron on the newly scraped copper wire for heating (not on the pad). After the tin on the pad melts, place the corresponding pole of the lamp bead on the pad with tweezers to slightly pressurize it, Finally, the electrode with small bonding pad. The electrode with large pad must be welded first because the heating time required is long. If the electrode is welded later, the lamp bead is easy to be damaged due to overheating.
If the light strip substrate is aluminum substrate, the above method cannot be used, because the lines using aluminum substrate are designed very carefully. When welding the lamp beads of this type of lamp strip, heat conduction can be used to weld the lamp beads. Heat the aluminum plate on the back of the positive and negative electrode pads of the lamp beads at the same time. After the tin on the pads melts, place the lamp beads on the pads and slightly pressurize them. Heaters can be purchased from Taobao or replaced by high-power electric soldering iron (no less than 100W).
When welding the lamp beads with an electric soldering iron, the shell of the electric soldering iron must be well grounded, and it is better to wear an anti-static bracelet to prevent inductive electricity and static electricity from damaging the LED lamp beads. In addition, the iron head should be ground into a horseshoe shape to increase the contact area and shorten the welding time.
