Discuss the issue of light color consistency of indicator light emitting diodes

Today I want to share with you how to solve the problem of light color consistency of Cob  and LED s when using LED indicator  . Yes, you heard it right, this method is really very effective, and it is simple and easy. So, what is this method? Next, let's reveal the answer together! Near the end of the year, there are more and more people consulting lamp beads about light color consistency and matching solutions. Why are LED diode  prone to light color inconsistency? Because LED diode are often used with very small current. The demand is high brightness, low current, and low power consumption, so that the light color consistency of various applications with low power consumption is better, and it requires simple use, long life, and good durability. The same is true for our multi-color lamp beads. So although the voltage is different in many cases, in order to better use it on the same PCB board, when designing, we will consider choosing lamp beads with similar color voltages. There is a problem here. If it is a new product design, we can directly match the specifications of lamp beads with similar voltages. However, for many processing enterprise projects, the color of the end customer is dynamically adjusted. Some products may have 3 lamps, and some products may have 4 LED lamps. We know that the voltages of red, yellow-green, yellow, orange, blue, emerald green, purple and white LED  diode are often different. Therefore, if different colored lamp beads are used on a board without separate current limiting resistors, a single lamp bead will grab the voltage or the voltage will be too high, resulting in a dead light. This is one reason. Second, different LED lamp beads have different voltages. For example, the voltages of red and orange lights are generally only 2 volts, while the voltages of blue and white lights are generally 3 volts. That is, LED diode with different voltages are used on a small lamp board. On the one hand, the board space is limited, and on the other hand, cost is a factor. If the lamp bead voltage matching is not considered at this time, it is easy to cause inconsistent light colors of the lamp beads, or even dead lights. Dead lights are really a very serious matter, and the severity is no less than light decay. The most feared thing about dead lights is overcurrent, overvoltage and high heat generation. Dead lights caused by overvoltage and overcurrent burn chips, and high heat generation easily causes the colloid to turn yellow, resulting in light decay and shortened life. Professor Lamp Beads saw a chat between a customer friend and his assistant last week. The customer was looking for a plug-in 3mm 0.06W indicator light and asked: "Are there any products with similar voltages for different colors?" The customer wanted to use it as a charging indicator light. The actual current only needed to be 1 mA, but the customer did not want to adjust the indicator light current limiting resistor. He asked to change to a different color LED light without changing the drive current, and he had requirements for brightness. He required that the brightness should not be dim at a low current of 1 mA, and that the brightness of the LED indicator light should not be much different after the replacement (human eye vision). The assistant thought that the customer just wanted to match a fewLED diodes with similar voltages, and also white light.
